Sampay Marketing – University Student Competition

On behalf of Sampay in collaboration with the Ndola Chamber of Commerce and Industry to propose an
exciting initiative aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among the students of the School
of Business and Information Technology at Zambian Universities.

We are thrilled to announce a competition designed to harness the creativity and strategic acumen of
the students in devising the best marketing strategy for the Sampay Business Model. Sampay, as you
may know, is an Online Payments and E-commerce business designed specifically for Africa, with a
mission to facilitate online payments and promote financial inclusion by offering affordable online
banking accessible to anyone with a simple smartphone.

Competition Details:
Registration: To be before 31st May 2024 (on www.samtickets.com)
Registration Fee: K10 per Team (each contestant will need to have a Sampay account
www.samafricaonline.com or Google or Apple Playstores
Teams (Max): 3 students

Parts of Competition:
1. Submission of Marketing Strategy – 1st to Friday 14th June 2024 – 17pm (CAT)
– The Business Focus for Competition:
How to Get Sampay Installed and Used in Every Mobile Phone and Online Devices in Zambia
– Each team will submit a marketing strategy – Max 10 Pages
– Each Proposal to Include:
i. Introduction of Concept
ii. Market Analysis and Focus
iii. Investment Requirement/ Financial Model for 24 months (1st June 2024 to 31st July
2026)
iv. Benefit to the Community and economic Development with Implementation of Strategy
v. Conclusion
All to be emailed in to info@samafricaonline.com by 17pm (CAT) on 14th June 2024
These Submissions will be assessed by a team engaged by Sampay in collaboration with NDCCI
The Top 10 teams will be announced on the Sampay facebook page at 1pm on 21st June 2024
Each team member will received ZMW 1000 into their sampay accounts as 1st stage group winners and
to also facilitate 2nd Stage of the competition and logistics.

2. Take to market Competition
Each team will be given up to the 31st July 2024 to take their strategy to market.
Assessments will be made and confirmed by the Team engaged by Sampay and announced Tuesday 7th
August 13pm on the Sampay facebook page.
The Team who acquires the most active Sampay users in this time will Receive the following:
1st Place: K50,000
2nd Place: K20,000
3rd Place: K10,000

Depending on the engagements – Sampay CEO will also have the opportunity to engage the winners or
any other contestants on a 6-month trial marketing basis as a result of the competition.

your support in promoting the competition among the students of the School of Business and
Information Technology. Your endorsement and participation would greatly contribute to the success of
this initiative.

    : Complete Your KYC

    4.Submit

After submitting the form, the information is reviewed by the Sampay Compliance Team. If everything checks outs, your account will be approved and you will be able to login to your account.
